Not content with having one team playing in the annual Mixed tournament at Redbridge, this year we entered TWO!
A bit of internal rivalry ensued with Team 1 donning their familiar snakebite-stained orange shirts, forcing Team 2 into wearing Southend's standard colours.
Obviously the bright orange glare prevented the opposition from seeing the same-coloured ball and so it was the Dutchmen that took the lion's share of victories. Overall, though, some high-standard of hockey from both teams. Perhaps the fact that no snakebite was being sold at the bar was a contributory factor... |
