Code of conduct
By joining and participating in the SHC forum discussions you agree to the following policy. If you should not agree you have the right to no longer participate in forum discussions at your own discretion. Most people have a common sense feel for what is and what is not appropriate in forums and you folks generally do a great job of policing yourselves. We do, however, need to have a few set policies for everyone to refer to when the need arises.

Legal points
In order to make posts on the SHC forum you are agreeing to comply with all laws pertaining to publishing on the World Wide Web. The laws that are most often called into question are those pertaining to copyright and to defamation. It is your responsibility to be aware of these laws when you post any content here. Note that the laws concerned may include both those of the country the site is published from (the United Kingdom) and whatever country the material is downloaded to, which clearly may be any country.

While the administrator of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not SHC or its Committee (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.

The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing this policy.

General behavior accepted on this site
You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. Doing so may lead to you being immediately, permanently or temporarily banned.

If a user continues to break policy the said user will be revoked from participating by the forum administrator.

You agree that the administrator of this forum has the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic or post at any time should they see fit under the guidelines specified below.

You agree that the administrator of this forum has the right to send a private message with a warning and or censor any forum user who is in violation of forum policy.

Policy guidelines
1. Explicit profanity/swearing is not allowed, and under no circumstances will we allow any profanity to be directed toward another person.
2. Forum Threads and Flaming: Messages personally attacking, calling names, or otherwise harassing or being condescending to another forum member or any ethnic or religious group will be removed and such actions will result in a ban.
3. If a thread is spam it will be removed.
4. Adult Content/Violence/Illegal Activity: Messages containing sexually oriented/violent/illegal dialog, images, content, or links to such will be deleted. Messages with links to or suggesting illegal activity will also be deleted. These actions could result in a ban.
5. If you have found a post that you feel is inappropriate or that violates forum policies, please contact a club officer.
6. The posts on the forum are available for anyone to read. Please do not post any personal information such as addresses and phone numbers. SHC cannot be held accountable for any incidents resulting from such postings.
7. Posts that pose questions to the Committee will be responded to by the Club Chairman or an appropriate officer that the Chairman appoints.
